Kaliningrad Zoo
One of Russia’s oldest zoos (since 1896), with century-old trees, pre-war pavilions and sculptures.

The zoo was founded in Königsberg; in 1945 only a few animals survived, including Hans the hippo.
Today it is both a zoo and an arboretum.
It is central, on Prospekt Mira, on the way to Amalienau.
