Zelenogradsk (Cranz)
The region’s oldest resort, with a wide beach, a new promenade and its famous cats.

Cranz became a seaside resort in the early 19th century. Today it is the liveliest town on the coast: wide sandy beach, long promenade, cafés and a pedestrian street.
Its symbol is cats — with cat houses, statues and a cat museum in the old water tower.
Zelenogradsk is the gateway to the Curonian Spit.
